On November 1, 2017 the Jamul Indian Village and the San Diego Roman Catholic Diocese with Bishop Robert McElroy presiding joined in celebration and respect of the earth as the church restored ownership of the land used for generations for the Tribal Cemetery and the St Francis of Xavier Chapel to the Jamul Indian Village.

Brothers Lou Adzima,Paul Wargo and Desmond Fonseca participated in the 2017 Kiwanis Hot rod show and chili cook off at Pio Pico April 8th 2017.Pictured - Sharing the award are Tom and Marie Kelly who’s 4 time winning recipe guided us to the “People Choice Award” this year for the most popular tasting chili, making the 5th time time their chili has won an award.
